Back from camping
We just got back from camping. Unpacking and cleaning are the best part I tell ya. Especially when everyone is tired and in the best moods. But besides all the fun that is going on now check out the pictures I have uploaded.

Halloween and Camping
Well Gavin had a good time camping. We couldn't have a fire, due to local burn ban, but no the less Gavin enjoyed running around the woods. In a sense I'm glad we didn't have to worry about him with a campfire. We were well prepared for the cold night, but Gavin didn't see to understand that being bundled up was a good things.
As for Halloween, the first house that we knocked on, he tried to walk in the house when the lady opened the door. He didn't really understand that everyone was giving him candy. I'm sure now his expectations are set high when we visit you at your door. He will be expecting candy each time. He went as a little monkey. I'll upload pictures to flickr in the next few days. He really enjoyed seeing all the kids come to the door all dressed up. One kid's costume did scare him, I'm sure it won't be the last time.

The first injury
Well last Wednesday at Day Care a little girl stepped on his arm while playing. Well it broke his growth plate in his left wrist. He now proudly wears a very colorful splint on his arm. I'm not sure what a growth plate is, but the doctor seemed like it was okay. We kept asking him if his arm hurt. We would point to his wrist and say "ouch". Now Gavin has learn the word "Ouch" but he says now even when nothing hurts.
Another 2 weeks of splint and it should be okay. Maybe if ever remember I'll upload some pictures.

Update
Gavin is starting to use more words. Not quite sure what he is saying 100% of the time. But I can pick out the word yellow when I show him a yellow Uno card. He is almost 20 months old and likes to be disobedient. We have a couch next our living room's bay window, which he repeatably climbs in. When we are downstairs he wants to climb the stairs. I had a simple barricade up to block him, but the little bugger can climb over what I have. I guess we are going to have to buy a gate.
He is doing well in pre-pre-school (daycare). I am surprise how much they try to teach him. Every afternoon when I get home he comes running to the door for me to pick him up.
We are looking forward to going camping. Not sure how he'll do, but I figure he'll have fun.

Vacations, vacations
Gavin has been on vacation almost every weekend. He went to Illinois to see Grandparents, he went to the beach, then it was down to the lake, he'll be going done to Fairy Stone Park, and then down to Blacksburg. As parents we are pooped. I think I'm going to declare a "no going nowhere" weekend coming up. I have a ton of photos, but haven't had time to post them.

Someone is talking
Well besides, "mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, mom" repeated over and over. Gavin has said "juice" and "bye-bye". Sometimes he points at something and utters "what is that" or maybe "look at that", I can't tell because it sounds like "wook at dat". Every once in a while I can get him to say "Uh-Oh" Next week I'll attempt to teach him to say his ABC's.
